All leashes have snaps braided on as well as the handle loop. This allows for easy replacement of a snap if it should break. I use solid brass snaps on almost all my dog equipment as they stand up better, are heavier, and don’t tarnish as easily as nickel plated snaps. All my stitching is embedded in a stitching groove or channel as in the case of a dog collar or a buckle billet, the buckle rides on the leather and not on the thread. This prevents early and unnecessary wear. |
